Lexis-Two is an open-source toolkit of portable rules, skills, and slash commands grounded in YAGNI, KISS, DRY, and SOLID—multi-agent workflows, one skills/ source, thin host adapters. It is the public layer of Lexis, a multi-agent ecosystem for shipping production web apps with engineering discipline rather than prompt theater: specialized agents for planning, implementation, review, refactor, and security share one ruleset. Part of Excelso Open, Excelso’s open-source and community branch focused on collaborative technology and social impact (excelso.xyz).
The Challenge
Most AI coding setups optimize for verbose output and speculative abstractions. Teams needed a portable ruleset and multi-host skills catalog that enforce engineering discipline—prove the feature belongs, prefer stack-native solutions, and ship the minimum that holds—without locking into a single IDE.
The Solution
Published Lexis-Two as MIT open source under Excelso Open: AGENTS.md decision ladder, OpenCode plugin with lite/full/ultra modes, unified /lexis and /specxis commands, and thin adapters for Cursor, Windsurf, Cline, Copilot, Gemini CLI, and more. One skills/ source; slash commands route instead of forking logic. Install via npx @draig/lexis-two install.
