Encrypt-D
Military-grade security. Human-level simplicity. AES-256-GCM folder encryption for Windows.
Encrypt-D is a professional folder encryption manager for Windows that combines AES-256-GCM military-grade encryption with an intuitive interface—hidden folders, strong password rules, and configurable brute-force protection. MIT-licensed, Python 3.8+, part of Excelso Open (security division of Excelso Tech Group). Excelso drives innovation, digitalization, and sustainability with a client-centered motto: “We fix it thinking of you. We are solutions. We are Excelso.”

The Challenge
Sensitive local folders need real cryptographic protection without cloud lock-in or opaque closed tools. Windows users wanted military-grade encryption with a simple UI, auditable open source code, and optional auto-destruction against brute force.
The Solution
Built Encrypt-D as a Windows desktop manager with AES-256-GCM, unique salt/nonce per folder and file, PBKDF2-SHA256 (100k iterations), HIDDEN+SYSTEM folder attributes, responsive UI, and configurable failed-attempt limits (1–10 or unlimited). Screaming Architecture for maintainability; shipped under Excelso Open with MIT license.
